Rasa Weber will contribute to the HOLITOPIA conference program with a keynote on "Sympoïetic Design – tangible invitations for humans, animals, microbes, animate and inanimate matter in the ocean."
Her talk will explore the interconnectedness of oceanic ecosystems and the potential for design to foster collaboration between diverse forms of life and matter.
In addition, Weber’s work will be featured in the HOLITOPIA exhibition "Above the Sea of Air", where new urban realities, materials, and living and working environments will be discussed.
As a designer, researcher, and diver, Weber examines the interplay between humans, animals, microbes, and inanimate matter in the ocean. By using local materials and craftsmanship, she develops methods for experimental restoration, creating not only ecological innovations but also cultural and economic connections within coastal communities.
